Description
Dorsal spines (total): 10 - 12; Dorsal soft rays (total): 24 - 48; Anal spines: 2; Anal soft rays: 7 - 9; Vertebrae: 24 - 26. Snout blunt. Interorbital space wide (8.0-9.7% SL). Anal soft rays usually eight. High gill raker count (6-7 + 1 + 10-14). Scales on throat ctenoid.
